Privacy Policy

Overview

Sevra ("we", "us", or "our") operates a reservation management platform used by restaurants and hospitality businesses. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information when you make a reservation through a Sevra-powered booking page or communicate with a restaurant via our platform.

Information We Collect

When you make a reservation, we collect:

  • —Your name, email address, and phone number
  • —Reservation details including date, time, and party size
  • —Any notes or preferences you provide during booking
  • —Payment method information (when required by the restaurant for card holds)

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • —Create and manage your reservation
  • —Send you reservation confirmations, reminders, and updates via SMS or email
  • —Allow the restaurant to communicate with you regarding your visit
  • —Maintain a guest profile on behalf of the restaurant for service personalization
  • —Process card hold or no-show fee transactions where applicable

SMS Communications

By providing your phone number during the booking process, you consent to receive SMS messages related to your reservation from the restaurant, delivered through Sevra's platform. These messages may include booking confirmations, modifications, cancellations, and other reservation-related updates.

Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies based on your reservation activity. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. For help, reply HELP.

Opting out of SMS will not affect your reservation, but you may miss important updates. Contact the restaurant directly if you have questions.

Guest Brief (AI-assisted guest research)

Some restaurants that use Sevra may choose to enable Guest Brief, a feature that lets authorised restaurant staff review publicly available professional information about a guest, such as job title, employer and public professional achievements, to help personalise the guest's visit. When staff request a Guest Brief, Sevra performs an AI-assisted public web search using only the guest's name and general booking details (such as the email domain and phone region), plus, only where staff indicate that a brief described the wrong person or found no match, a short hint to help identify the right person (such as an employer or city). The full email address, phone number and private notes are not used. Guest Brief does not seek sensitive information such as health, religion, political views, family details or home address. To provide this feature, the guest's name, these general details and any staff hint are sent to our AI service provider, OpenAI, for processing. The hint is not stored by Sevra. The resulting brief is stored in Sevra only for the restaurant that requested it, is never shared with other restaurants, and is never sold. A brief may include a publicly available photo of the person from one of the brief's source pages. It is shown only to the restaurant's staff, is loaded from the original website when viewed, and is not stored by Sevra; Sevra keeps only the link to it. If staff indicate that a brief describes the wrong person, the brief is deleted and Sevra keeps only a minimal record of that person's name, headline and source links so they are excluded from future research; this record is deleted along with the guest's profile. Guests may request deletion of their Guest Brief at any time by writing to contact@sevra.ca.

Data Sharing

Your information is shared with the restaurant you are booking with, as they are the primary recipient and controller of your guest data. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

We use the following service providers to operate the platform:

  • —Supabase — database and authentication
  • —Telnyx and Twilio — SMS messaging
  • —Resend — email delivery
  • —Stripe — payment processing
  • —Vercel — hosting and infrastructure
  • —OpenAI — AI processing for features such as translation and Guest Brief

Data Retention

Guest profiles and reservation history are retained on behalf of the restaurant for service continuity. You may request deletion of your data by contacting the restaurant directly or by emailing us at the address below.

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. To exercise these rights, contact us at:
